Feeling sad because of the personal significance of that day, I went to see my long standing friend & hairdresser Tara, as she's one of the very few people locally who remembers my Mother in person.
After she'd lifted my spirits by expertly cutting my hair - always a moral booster; we went for a lunchtime wine together.
The outside seating @ Kings Arms in Broad Street was amazingly busy - guess the warm Autumn weather was responsible...
And, the sky was as blue as any Summer one - views from our bench...
