Since I have no knowledge where I will be today.
Or, whether I will be blogging on my latest travels, due to a paranoid Little Buddy, I have prepared this post in advance & scheduled its appearence!!!
Good friend BJ, selected RUST as this weeks colour!
Her reasoning - it was once, a popular shade & one she liked!!!
Yes, I DO, look forward to her contribution, as found RUST as hard as BEIGE to define!
Also, as was trying to convalesce before my trip, I have had to resort to home finds.
Does my kettle qualify, probably not as its actually copper...
And, a 1940's silk hankerchief & Canadian leaf pin do too...

The best I can do cakewise, is this oddity from my archives - the beer lettering looks RUST-ish coloured...
To participate in True Colours Thursday, all you need, is to post a photo/photographs & text, or better still both, on the specified colour of the week.
Then, LINK back to me & leave a word here, to say you are playing along.
For this meme only, I have again lifted my 'Comment Moderation' to help visiting.
Everyone, who is or has previously participated recently, is named & linked in my side bar.
Sorry, but may not be able, to up-date the list this week.
Next weeks colour is RAINBOW [ie colourful] - suggested by Dewdana
If, anyone has a suggestion for a 'Colour', please feel free to say.

hope you are having a wonderful holiday - you did a good job with the rust - we did not have much luck -

You managed rust quite well! I wonder if the cake is beer flavored. Yuck! Probably not. Hope you are having a blast.
I am delighted that you are safe and down on the ground again in Canada! I want to wish you a trip of a lifetime and lots of special tiny moments together!
Your sweet little dresses arrived today and I an overwhlemed with joy at how sweet they all are! My little grandson Cole was intrigued by all the hand smocking done to them...we thank you for these little treasures and the tiny snap of a babyBlue...the teddy bear cards are over the top sweet and Miss Rosie wants me to hurry to the sewing machine to complete her outfits. We give humble thanks for sharing this part of your life with us.
Love from Karla and cousin Peach

Hope your travels are going well... wherever you are! Moose and I are playing along this week though I know you are not around at the moment.
We are headed off on travel as well so may miss (or be delayed) in posting for the next two times, but we will try! Esp since I selected next weeks 'color'!

p.s. we agree on the trouble with rust and lots of ours look kinda orange, but I sort of like that about TCT as it allows you to see how others interpret a color. As always I get a kick out of your cake pics!
I too have avoided using real rust though not in your quantity.
Rust is quite a convenient colour as it can be light or dark. You found some great items.
wow, this week colour is really difficult! but you manage to do a great job!
best regards

Mom love your rusty leaf pin! We think you cheated on the copper teakettle but what a great idea for one of the true colors - copper!

Hi Blue!
I have my rust post up now! You are lucky not to find many rust things! We found lots and I think my owners need some new stuff!
:) Tibby
I don't know if your kettle qualifies for rust... but it instantly made me crave a cup-a-tea!
i believe i'm a bit late for this one, but i would like to participate with my rusted bucket anyway
Hey. I'm joining for the first time :) My english is not so good, but I still wanna try :) Here is my rust picture
You certainly had a good selection of rust coloured object. I am finding myself thinking of colours as I go around my everyday tasks and it's amazing how many colours you find after the colour day. Will you be repeating the colours at a later date?
Hi, Blue -
Rust is a hard color to describe but we think you did pretty well especially with the gloves, purse and pin. The rust things we have here are some of the spots in one of our cars.
