The wonderfully colourful image above is entitled

"Pete's Fairy"
I wonder, if you can see why?
It is the work of my friend Beth Stafford from

True Colours Thursday - BLUE!

I think that anyone, who has become my friend or taken the time, to follow me, knows BLUE features heavily in my life.
It is, my all time favourite colour, hence my original blogger name & the one I still use by choice!
Yet, BLUE flowers in their natural form are rare, BLUE Roses, a real novelty!
But, they do exist in many forms.
I have a wonderful display of French hand-crafted wooden ones!
Seen here, in their BLUE tinted glass vase, alongside a photo of yours truly in a BLUE dress teasing her Hero, and a slice of BLUE grained Agate...And, one of the florists in Dreamingspires Covered Market, always has beautiful BLUE roses...I never question their origin & ignore their tell-tale BLUE dye-stained stems!

As a collector of Wedgewood Bone China, I have a piece from their 'Ice Rose' range... I also, remember my Mother wearing this striking BLUE rose print dress...
Now, as last week some of you expressed disappointed @ not to seeing any of my SILVER jewellery, I won't neglect that area of my life this time...
To participate in True Colours Thursday, all you need, is to post a photo/photographs or text, or better still both, on the specified colour of the week.
Then, leave a me a 'Comment' here, to say you are playing along this week.
I'm sorry, but I still feel the need to have comment moderation in place.
BUT, to help visiting - everyone, who is or has previously participated, is named & linked in my side bar.
I try to up-date throughout the day.
Next weeks colour is BROWN!
If, anyone has a suggestion for a 'Colour', please feel free to say.

Postscript:-
Once again, am publishing unusually early for me, via Bloggers 'Scheduled Posts' function to help everyone leave 'Comments'!
Last week, we had more new participants!
Am amazed & delighted equally.
I still hesitate to ask Mr Linky with his fancy 'sign in' gadget to help out, as know other photo memes have experienced differculties & he's not universally popular.
In the meantime, if you want to make new friends & see their 'True Colour' entry - please do check out my sidebar & Comments.

You really like blue don't you? Gosh, even blue roses! Wow.
I will try to find something brown and interesting to post next week.

Did I ever tell you, before we moved to the frozen north, our last house was an Essay In Blue..........(sorry but since this experience, not my fave colour!)....we 'inherited' from previous owners, blue walls, blue carpets, blue kitchen, even a blue enamel sink!

Can I put forward "Gordon" for one of your next weeks pictures on the subject of Brown ;0)))))) ??

hopefully not tho, as I cannot bear to even look at him, sorry got a bit political there!

Yr jewellery is very pretty!

Well, the sea was almost blue yesterday!

We are still recovering from our trip to the beach.

Marvin has had to be brushed and combed out totally, his fur was all sticky after his surfing escapade!

Those blue roses look gorgeous, even if they are dyed.

Well, everything is blue over on our blog, which is coming to you from the sunny Moray Firth up in the north of Scotland.

Must start thinking brown now.

Lots of blue over here, too. Mom forgot to add a pic of a 'blue' Bedlington, of which I'm not, I'm a 'liver'. My housemates are all blues ... oh well, we found plenty of other 'blue' to post in my blog. Can't wait to do 'brown' next week!
