The wonderfully colourful image above is entitled

"Pete's Fairy"
I wonder, if you can see why?
It is the work of my friend Beth Stafford from
Art With Love From PiCassieO, who has kindly given me permission to use it.

Snow Watch replaces Sky Watch Friday!

As yesterday, I was pre-occupied with managing my blossoming 'True Colours' photo meme, I never reported on the unusual phenomena that hit Dreamingspires for the second time in a week - Snow!
Dawn on Thursday, saw four inches...Thankfully, my bird feeders were still half full...The neighbourhood children, off school because of the snowfall were soon busy...Because of their efforts, this guy appeared @ the end of my road...And, found another fun little one, in a nearby drive, although he was suffering from mid-morning melt off...However, further flurries fell @ lunchtime.
The 'Cut' the lakeside path to my Park...But, the walk there, was worth it...The latest on the white stuff:-
It sleeted overnight, then froze and now it's snowing well again.
This is quite unprecedented Winter weather for here!
The treacherous conditions, means travel chaos reigns across my region & else where in the country
I'm staying close to home!

Great snow shots Blue! I especially like the snowman with mid-morning melt-off....and the other is a work of art for sure!
Your park looks beautiful :o)

Not unprecented Blue. Just a return to the sort of thing we had in the past - 1947 and 1963, if I remember correctly. We have had it soft for about 25 years. Cooling is coming and believe me, I am not gloating.

Winter is certainly back this year. All of your snow scenes are really nice, but do like the last one best. Please be careful when you're out there sliding around...you might fall!

Love ya,
BJ

It makes for rather dangerous walking, but it looks so beautiful. I love the shapes of those fences, and the last photo is exquisite!

Hello my lovely two legged friend,

Our snow has turned to mountains of ice, not nearly as much fun as the snow but almost as beautiful.

I'm sending big ole rottie hugs over to keep you warm... ok?
