Following on from my Sunday Scenery photograph, I continued my Saturday walk around the town centre & came upon this typical, jumble of parked students bikes...
.JPG)
As a
Monochrome Maniac, thought I'd give them the B&W treatment for
Aileni's meme.
And, then, came across this...

Was a bit bemused - there is security & security.
But, chaining the bicycle up and then taking off both wheels too, seemed extreme!
Or, did someone take a fancy to them & strip the bike?
In this city of cycles one never knows.
Last Summer, I came upon the opposite take...
Odd Shots is
Katney's project!

A good sequence, Blue. Mkaes me shudder to see the vandalism and greed.
The mind boggles. Bikes and photography do go hand in hand, but only pushbikes. Doesn't have the same romance with a BMX.
The three pictures are so funny.
The first one is a common day to day sight in big cities !
As well as both following, in fact.
I've seen such spare parts in Paris. Maybe, both of us could create a bike completely performant and new ? ; )
Haha.. Hard for anyone to steel that weel. Cool pictures - and great for both the themes :) I`m mixing themes too today :)
Maybe he needed some bits and pieces and not other bits and pieces?
Maybe they're off the same bike. LOL!! A new approach to safety- chain up all the bits individually.
It would never work for me. I'd forget where I left them all. It's hard enough finding the car in the carpark.
In fact, today, it's hard enough finding it in the driveway under all that white!!!
Perhaps the same person took the bike, and then needed wheels...
Nice combo!
Nice photos Blue...It does remind me of Amsterdam though... :-)
Great shots .. makes a clever combo of the two MEMES .. and I hope all is well with you ...
the second photo is hilarious, just thinking of the poor person doing all that to protect his/her bike!
What if they had to go to a meeting or a lecture, or in a shop, laden down with the wheels, still laughing at this one!!!!!!
I love the bike-parking photo - great shot. The bike with the stolen wheels is very sad, as is your older photo of the wheel with the stolen bike!
What a lot of work to go through for one's bike!!!
Nice shots.
Tail wags, the OP Pack
Bike graveyard??
So neat to see images from a world away and to see how other people live.
