This was originally, an e-mail tag sent to me yesterday by very good friend, but I thought it was a perfect for a Blog Meme!

'Tis the Season to be NICE!
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags?

Fancy paper with bows & tags, the works!

Unless, I'm posting!
2. Real tree or Artificial?

Sadly, artificial now - it's called a Tall Canadian but looks nothing like Little Buddy!

But, do miss a real fir tree - the smell of the pine but not the dropping needles.

If I ever went there again; it would have Blue Spruce, naturally!
3. When do you put up the tree?

Use to be the weekend before Christmas, now ASAP in December!

I love to sit in the glow of it's lights on a Winter nite!
4. Wreath on your door?

Yes, & home made!

This is last years effort with Ivy & garden berries...

5. Do you like eggnog?
Yep, make it just for me, it's all mine.
But, anything Festive & Alcoholic is good with me!
6. Favourite Xmas gift received as a child?
My Rocking Horse from my Mother when I was six!
7. Easiest person to buy for?
Me!
Well, like to ensure I've @ least one present beneath my tree to open on Christmas morning!
Isn't that sad?
It's not meant to be!
8. Least easiest?
For me - children, as am not child orientated - struggling with two this year!
9. Do you have a nativity scene?
No never!
10. Mail or email Christmas cards?
Mail mine & prefer snail-mails ones back!
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received?
Plain white Tea Towels, I'm not domesticated & they were sooo boring too!
12. Favourite Christmas Movie?
The Snowman by Raymond Briggs - just love the animation & music.
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas?
Nov/December, occasionally earlier if I see a 'must buy gift' for a particular friend.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present?
Sadly, I confess - Yes!
I'm thrifty!
I can't bare waste & the item in question, went to a appreciative, delighted home I'll add!
15. Open presents on Christmas eve or morning?
Actually, Christmas lunchtime with a glass of bubbly in between preparing dinner!
Last year, it was Cava with ruby red pomegranates seeds, per Chef Jamie Oliver...16. Lights on the tree?
LED bought last December, after failure of much nurtured old bulb ones.
But, they are almost too WHITE for my liking!
17. Favourite Christmas song?
Tacky but "Last Christmas I gave you my heart" - Wham!
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home?
Travel wins every time with me; am not a home bird!
But staying put yet again because of finances!
New Year's another story!
19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer's?
No, not even when tipsy, unlike someone I know!
No names mentioned but she has a Curl!
20. Angel on the tree top or a star?
Neither, a Teddybear - What else?
Then, have a couple of stars & the odd angel fluttering around!
21. Favourite thing to eat at Christmas?
Dark Chocolate Cherry Liqueurs - only time I do let my sweet tooth run riot!

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year?

Christmas promotions having started before Halloween!

And, all the slinky party attire in the shops when I'm putting on weight & not partying over the festivities!

Not that I'm a party animal, far from it BUT!

23. Favourite Tree ornament, theme or colour?

Old baubles with sentimental memories.

Then, lots of Red, Green & Gold.

Surprisingly, no Blue!

Here's a few - the top left & lower right, are as old a me; bought the year I was born, which makes them Antiques...24. Favourite for Christmas dinner?

Am a traditionalist - it has to be Roast Turkey, & all the Trimmings and I do mean ALL the Trimmings - Stuffings, Bread Sauce, Cranberry etc etc!
25. Brussels Sprouts - love or hate them?

Love them!

Like mine with Chestnuts.
26. Favourite accompaniment to the Christmas Pud?

Brandy & double cream - who cares about cholesterol @ this time of year!
27. Favourite Christmas Carol?

The Holly & the Ivy!

But, I also like "In the Bleak Mid Winter" despite its chilly tone!
28. Your very Favourite Christmas Thing?

My Tree with its lights & decorations

Followed, very closely by cards received!
