On the day that we remember our War Dead, it may seem to non Dog With Blog'ers; insensitive, even childish to write a post in memory of a Hamster, even if she was a Sapphire Winter White! I'm sorry if that's the case.
However to me, the loss of a loved one, no matter whether human or animal, large or small, is a sad time.
And, like many DWB'ers, I held Girl-Girl in affection.
I never had a Hamster as a pet, but always considered them the cutest of the Rodent family.
Only Chincilla Crunchie who belongs to 'neice' & 'nephew' Molly & Taffy's hooman comes close!
Girl-Girl, like me was a 'honary' member of the DWB group, she held the title of a 'Hamsterrier'; and with the aid of her Eil, participated in ALL the Barkday/Pawty events including mine.
Here she is dressed for my 'virtual' Ladies Day @ Royal Ascot, this June...
I always enjoyed seeing her delightful antics on her blog; she visited me regularly, leaving me 'nice' comments about my photo's when others didn't; she remembered my birthday this year...
And, my love of postcards - she sent me three, when the Singapore Grand Prix was in town!
So, I will miss this little girl and am thinking of her family, who will miss her so much more.

Took me ages to put up my Remembrance Day post. Interesting what we all choose to remember. I went for a post about the Ark Royal and the British Forces in Gibraltar.
Had so much to write (and too many pix) that I had to add the rest today - the dog part, including a springer, so I thought about you.
